Riley POV “I knew you still cared.” For one second, I could not speak. Then anger cut through the fear that had made me call him. “Do not do that.” Luca became quiet. “Do what?” “Use my fear to pull me back.” “That is not what I meant.” “It is exactly what you did.” I stood from the edge of my bed and began pacing across the small room.
