I hate that I have been assigned babysitting duty. Why do I need to follow my current Alpha anyway?
Sure, he puts Lars and me on edge quite a bit lately, but at the end of the day, he is still my Alpha, and I don’t think he is going to be pleased that I have been reassigned from investigating what happened to Frankie to now having to observe and report his every movement.
What was it that Alpha Tom and Luna Margie needed to know about him? Was it because he hasn’t been behaving normally since Frankie? Is there a reason the guy can’t mourn his own way? Isn’t it more important for me to put my energy into finding who hurt Frankie and all the others?
I was several feet behind him. I made sure to mask my scent before I began, but part of me still felt like he knew.
