He asked me to meet with him in private, and wanted to meet at the old cabin we used to all play at when we were kids. Of course, that was long before it was condemned with wood rot from the flash flood years ago, and then— Frankie. There was no evidence linking Frankie’s last moments to that location, but after reading through the reports, it seems plausible that the fire, which was conveniently timed, may have been related. The fact that Parker suddenly wanted to meet there and had something important to tell me only solidified my suspicions of Frankie being there, and Parker was somehow involved.
