OLIVER POV I woke with a start. My lying form rose quickly into an alert sitting state. I raised my hand to shield my sensitive eyes from the brightness of the surrounding area. The air was fresh and energizing. I knew right away that Vinny was no longer within me. I felt lighter. I felt free. I exhaled in relief. Free. It was surreal to be a prisoner within your own body for most of your life. Even your own thoughts were not yours; they were influenced and twisted.
