I froze mid-bite.
A s*x tape. His words replayed in my head.
Mr. Lancaster saw the s*x tape.
I’d worked at his company for a few years but the place he recognized me from was the leaked tape with Michael.
My stomach twisted and I almost threw up everything I’d eaten since I sat on that table.
I wanted to disappear right there. I wanted the ground to open and swallow me. I wanted to shrink to the floor, so the nightmare would end.
I couldn’t even look up.
The situation was so embarrassing.
“Dad!” Liam exclaimed. “Why would you say something like that in front of everyone? During dinner?”
“Dad. That’s really inappropriate!” Landon added.
