I was at a loss for words.
There was nothing on earth I could say that would wipe that devastated look off Liam’s face.
The pain in his eyes felt like a knife twisting in my chest.
And I couldn’t lie to him because he already found out the truth. I just didn’t understand how he found out about it.
The thought circled endlessly in my mind but I knew I couldn’t bring myself to ask him.
