“Trinny.” A voice whispered in my head. It was Asher. I jumped slightly but relaxed when I realized he was just monitoring me. “What?” I sent back silently. “Be careful.” He warned. “Dennis isn’t letting anyone in. If you get caught, you’ll regret it.” “I know.” I thought back. “I just need to see her. Just for a moment.” He didn’t reply, but I felt the tension leave a little of his mind. He was worried, but he trusted me enough to let me try. That was something. I waited until the voices stopped, then tried the door. It was locked, of course, but I had ways of getting around locks.
