It hit me the second I looked down. Trinity wasn’t there. Not in the bed, not in the house, not anywhere I could sense. Panic rose almost instantly. My hands went to the spot on my chest where our mark burned faintly against my skin. It pulsed. Soft, almost undetectable at first, then stronger, and with it came the unmistakable tug of worry.
