The next few days passed in a blur of training, long nights, and quiet tension. After the fight at the ridge, everyone in the pack could feel the change in the air. The shadows were gone for now, but it didn’t feel like peace. It felt like waiting for the next storm. Every morning started the same. Arlo met us out on the training grounds before sunrise, the air still cool and damp with fog. We ran drills until our bodies ached, then focused on controlling our energy.
