Matilda’s heart sank. Professor Cooper stood at the entrance of the office with his hands on his hips. Having been a lecturer at the university for over ten years now, Matilda assumed that he must have been about forty years old. His appearance said otherwise though. He was tall and slim, with brown hair cut shorter at the sides than on top. A perfect amount of stubble and a baby face made him look like he was closer to twenty years of age than the forty years which Matilda gave him. He was still wearing the same clothes that he was wearing when she was in his office earlier that day. A blue and white horizontally striped shirt and a pair of tight, dark grey pants that half covered his tan dress shoes. Like Matilda, he carried a very sallow complexion with large dark eyes.
