We let Kelli and Pam show us the buildings, which looked like they had been assembled from a do-it-yourself castaway kit. Made mostly of heavily-weathered boards and corrugated metal sheets, they were crude-but-sturdy things that would probably keep out the wind and rain. There were five of them in different sizes, one just bigger than a garden shed. They looked like they had been occupied not too long ago, but their owners had gone away for a while. I decided that 'shack' was too upscale a name for them, so I referred to them as 'huts' which caught on with everyone. We searched all of them carefully, but as with the boat, there were few clues to be found.
