I think it’s safe to say that things are good again. They aren’t exactly as they were before, but they never will be. We suffered a terrible loss, and it changed us both.
Cora is finally relaxing, though. She’s even started her research again, which is good for my worrying about her, but also because I need her. How any king did all of this before me without a useful mate is beyond me.
She still won’t allow Hazel to take Peter outside while she’s in the library, but Hazel and I agree that it’s a start and that we won’t push her. There are still no dangers of being attacked outside, but Cora is struggling with it.
