Shawn I couldn’t stop thinking about Lila. It wasn’t because she had cried in front of me. It wasn’t even because of the conversation she’d overheard at my house. It was the way she looked when I dropped her off. She had sat in my truck staring at her own front door like she was trying to convince herself to go inside. Most people came home and relaxed.
