She stood with the report from Alwina in her hand, and could see that Rickford had a sealed copy in his as well. But it was the leather bracelet band that she was holding out to her that surprised her the most.
She knew that Zac wore them, had several on all the time on his right wrist, they went halfway up his forearm. He had started wearing them when he was like 12 or something. She took it from Alwina and looked at it. There were three small flat plain black leather bands, one round braided leather band with two crystal beads on either side of a long black bead that had a fine row of crystal dust down through the center of it and one crystal studded band that ran all the way around.
