Lucian was standing now. He'd moved from my chair to the space in front of my desk, which was the instinct of someone who understood that sitting in his employer's chair while his employer was standing in the doorway was a position that needed to be vacated. He was holding himself with the composure he defaulted to when things required managing, but the red in his face was still present and his hands, which were normally very still, were doing something slightly uncertain at his sides, like he had no idea what to do in a scenario like this and was trying hard not to show that he was worried about how this would seem like, he had the same idea everyone had after all.
