All those weeks, that passed with me ignoring or rescheduling anything that had to do with Sedona because I was so caught up trying to relive the life that I had fantasized about with Catherine.
All those dismissals that I had given her, deciding her complaints were not important enough, all those hanged-up calls, all those moments I'd looked at her and seen her arguing about Catherine being more present in Nick's life than she was and I had told her she was overreacting, she had been dying.
Her desperation to reach out to me, to get me to hear her out and I had shunned everything.
She'd been trying to tell me something was very wrong.
And I hadn't listened. I'd been so busy being irritated by her, so certain that her emotions were inconvenient
