"Eli, before we start the movie, can we talk for a minute?"
His smile fades and I quickly tell him it's nothing bad. His smile returns and I chuckle.
"Eli, I know you said that you are different from the other kids, but I think you are special. I think that you are like me."
The phone rings in my pocket. I'm just about to silence it when I notice Lyra's name flash on the screen. I quickly answer it.
"Kael, you were right. He is a wolf pup. Not only that, but he has alpha genes," she says.
A feeling that is unfamiliar bubbles up inside of me. It doesn't take me long to realize its jealousy. The thought of another man or wolf touching Sera feels like acid bubbling under my skin.
