I can't imagine what the hell else Lyra would need to tell us. Eli is a wolf. I don't know if I can handle any more surprises. It feels like the longest twenty minutes of my life until we finally hear the car pull up in front of the cabin. Five minutes later, Kael has me tucked into his side on the couch while Orion and Lyra sit across from us. They look at each other before Lyra finally speaks.
"I ran Eli's DNA, which you already know. I was purely looking for his wolf genetics. I can't explain why, but I decided to run the full test expecting to find his genetics would show wolf DNA and human DNA, but it didn't," she says.
"What do you mean it didn't?"
"I mean half his genetics is definitely wolf, but the other half isn't human," she says.
