The first thing I felt was heat. Not the comfortable kind either. More like the sun decided to drop out of the sky and lie directly on top of me. My eyelids twitched. The world was dim and blurry. Something beeped softly near my ear. Something smelled like antiseptic and wolf sweat. So clearly, I was in the infirmary. Again. Fantastic. I blinked harder. When the room came into focus, I realized why it felt like a furnace. Jack and Beau were pressed right against me. One on each side. Absolutely glued.
