Sophie froze mid step. I had seen Sophie calm through literal explosions, so the way her entire aura pulled tight made every muscle in my body tense. She pressed her hand to the wall like she was listening through it. “Something hit the wards,” she whispered. Before Jack or Beau could ask what she meant, the packhouse lights flickered overhead.
