Lina's POV
I found myself standing in the underground parking garage beside Adrian's black Maybach, my hands trembling so badly I had to clench them into fists.
I hadn't expected to hear any of that.
But I had left my phone in Jasper's room on purpose. I had turned on the Bluetooth connection before walking out.I'd heard every single word of that conversation.
The elevator dinged behind me. I knew without looking that it was him—could feel his presence like electricity raising every hair on my body.
Adrian's footsteps slowed when he spotted me. I felt rather than saw him freeze, clearly not expecting me to be here.
I turned to face him, keeping my voice as neutral as I could manage. "Alpha Storm. What will it take for you to leave the Lockwoods alone?"
