Lina's POV
I reached the sixth floor and wandered around for a bit. Plenty of people working late, but none I recognized.
This was only my second time at Storm Industries. The thought of Mrs. Finch discovering I was dating her grandson's boss made me too nervous to go upstairs and find Adrian.
After waiting a while, I texted him: "I'm leaving. We'll talk at home."
What a waste of an impulsive trip.
Adrian didn't reply.
Was he still angry?
Feeling deflated, I got in the elevator and headed to the underground parking garage.
My car's lights were on.
My heart started pounding. The car had an intelligent system that automatically shut off the power and locked itself when it detected no one inside.
Only Chloe and I could unlock it.
