Lina's POV
"Dad, get here now!" Chloe's voice was frantic through the phone. "Lina's lost it! She's demanding to go to the Pack Enforcement Office. I can't stop her!"
I could hear Adrian's deep voice rumbling through the speaker, though I couldn't make out the words. My hands were shaking as I buttoned my jacket, but I forced them steady.
*We need answers,* Aurora growled in my mind. *We need the truth.*
Chloe hung up and grabbed my arm, but gently—like she was afraid I might shatter. "Lina, please. Just wait for Dad. He's coming."
"I can stop you," she added quickly, her wolf's strength evident in her grip. "But looking at your eyes right now... I'm scared to. You look like you're about to snap."
