"K&S Design Studio," I said, glancing at Adrian as he drove. "I've already received their email reply. I have a second interview next Monday. If the interview goes well, I can start working as soon as I graduate."
Adrian raised an eyebrow slightly, his gray eyes flickering with interest.
"You're passionate about architectural design?"
"Yes," I answered simply, feeling a familiar warmth spread through me at the mention of my chosen field—it was the one thing that could still make me feel connected to my parents.
