I woke early, the pale morning light filtering through the curtains. After washing up, I stepped out of the bedroom and was immediately hit with the most incredible aroma—fresh coffee, warm pastries, something savory and rich.
The dining table was absolutely covered with breakfast dishes. My brows drew together as I took in the spread. Had this man just gotten back at dawn? Made all this food without sleeping at all?
I found him in the kitchen and immediately cornered him against the counter.
