When school finished, I was super-excited. Orion promised he would ask if we could go out into the palace gardens to play hide and seek. I still can’t believe he is my mate, were-bear mate bonds are so different to the demon ones that mostly tell us about in school. This bond is emotional, at least until I come of age. I want him there when I am scared to protect me. I want him there when I am angry to calm me down. I want him there when I am sad to cheer me up, and finally having him near me all the time makes me happy. It is nice to have someone that I could spend the rest of my life with, right here with me right now. My parents have been understanding, though I can tell my dads get annoyed sometimes.
