Curses! Why hasn’t he cursed any of us? Why did he not curse any of us before? Can he not use that ability? Was he testing our abilities to see what he could use against us and what he couldn’t? Was he testing my mate? Was he testing Scarlett?
As the questions circled in my mind, I began pacing, my mind racing. The one thing that can be disastrous to use on any supernatural creature, and he has not used it. Is he saving it for a final battle? Is he hoping to figure out Scarlett’s weaknesses?
“Damien, I know where your mind is going. Do not let the thought of curses worry you. I know why they are, but try not to let them. We need your head in this,” Birsha whispered to me.
