Scarlett’s POV-
I never expected Einar to be able to break out of the trap to some degree, so soon after going into a new body. A mortal body at that. The explosion from him tearing down the walls of the trap I had made around him, sent everyone flying. I am thankful to Orion for protecting my children during the shockwave of the explosion. Agatha being hurt badly was not something I had anticipated.
While I had been totally focused on healing Agatha, Einar tried to curse Ember. But Orion saved her. He is a hero. It then meant he had to leave us. I could hear their discussion, and it broke my heart that I couldn’t hold my daughter, or help Orion. He is my best friend’s son, and my daughter’s mate. I should have done more to help him, or try to protect him. But I was trying so very hard
