From the moment I saw her, I have been able to stop watching her. It is why I knew when to open the door for her. I was in the shadows, watching her, eavesdropping on her conversation with her friend. I guess that the woman with her is what you call a work bestie. They seemed close, and it made me smirk seeing that spark of jealousy inside Cassie when her friend spoke about me. I thought it was interesting how she could already feel the pull. From what I know of other mate bonds, when a supernatural creature finds out that they are fated to mate a human, the human takes a while to feel it. So, does that mean Cassie isn’t completely human?
