As we neared the place we needed to stand and got into the pre-discussed positions, the Aurora Borealis began to shine and shimmer along the surface of the lake. We stepped into the water along the shoreline. The water began to shimmer the same colors as the aurora borealis, and as it did, the entrance to the fae and sprite world became visible. Gasps echoed from everyone around me. “Concentrate,” I hissed.
A sudden gust of wind swept a thick mist across the lake, shielding the now visible gateway from the eyes of humanity. It was dense, and damn near impossible to see through. I glanced at my twin brothers, giving them a subtle nod. They knew what to do.
