I did not have time to think. I just ran. My feet hit the stone floor of the hallway, making small, slapping sounds. Lucy’s words were like a fire in my ears.
I’ll tell your mother. He’s just using you. I had to find Liam. He was the only one who could stop this. He was the Alpha. If he told Lucy to be quiet, she would have to listen.
The path to the Alpha’s tower was very long. Usually, I was very careful when I went there. I would look around every corner to make sure no one saw me. But today, I was too scared to be careful.
