I stared up at the video call on my screen. Mia’s face was taking most of it. Her wide eyes. Her hands pressed together ad if she was standing in a church.
Behind her were the rest of the crew. They were all sitting on the couch like it was a slumber party. Lena waved her hand. Jess was holding on to a half empty bottle of rosé. She held it up to me as if she was showing me evidence.
Then Tara kept on mouthing “please” with a very exaggerated desperation.
