“I have spent the entire day resting.”
“You have spent the entire day conducting kingdom business from our bed.”
“I was still in the bed.”
His mouth twitched, but the worry in his eyes remained. He shifted closer when I tugged his hand, bracing one arm beside my hip.
“The physician was clear,” he said. “No unnecessary exertion. No strain.”
“She also said intimacy was safe if we were careful.”
His eyes narrowed. “You asked her?”
“While you were speaking with Kael outside the examination room.”
A quiet breath escaped him. “You frightened ten years from my life, then questioned the physician about our wedding night?”
“I believe in gathering relevant information.”
“You are impossible.”
