Nevara’s mouth was on mine before I could even finish pulling her fully into my lap.
Not that I was complaining.
Her fingers slid into my hair, tugging just enough to pull a low sound from my chest as she kissed me deeper, slower this time—deliberate. Testing. Teasing.
I tightened my grip on her hips, dragging her closer, feeling the heat of her through the thin fabric between us. She shifted against me like she was trying to prove a point, and judging by the sharp inhale I let out, she knew she was winning.
“You’re playing a dangerous game,” I muttered against her lips.
She hummed, completely unbothered. “Am I?”
“Yes,” I said, sliding my hands up her back, pulling her flush against me. “Because I was planning on taking my time tonight.”
Her lips curved faintly. “And now?”
