Stepping into the bathroom, I turned the shower on as hot as I could stand it, letting the steam fill the room. The water cascaded over my skin, washing away the day and leaving me feeling refreshed and lighter. I took my time washing my hair, working the vanilla-scented shampoo into a rich lather before rinsing it out. The new body lotion I’d picked up with Cassidy earlier was waiting for me on the counter, and I smoothed it over every inch of my skin, loving the soft, sweet scent it left behind.
