I left Reese in her room and headed straight for the gate.
Dante was already outside when I came through the main door. Roan had two men positioned on either side of the entrance and Kane was near the fence line watching the road. Nobody was talking. Everyone was watching.
Good.
I walked to where Dante was standing and stopped beside him.
"How far out?" I asked.
"Dex says less than a minute," Dante said.
I looked down the private road. The tree line on both sides kept it dark past the first stretch of fencing. You couldn't see the road bend from here which meant you couldn't see what was coming until it was already close.
I didn't like that tonight.
"Move two more men to the far side of the gate," I said.
Dante relayed it without turning around.
