“Can we just play for a few more minutes?”
I had no idea when I responded with a nod to Lily’s request. How could I resist those pretty eyes? It was already late and the girls weren’t ready to leave.
“Thank you.” Lily smiled before running back to the electric car she and Akira had been driving together for the past hour.
Spending time with the kids was fun but it was also exhausting. But I couldn’t complain. It was something that I wanted.
It would have just been easier if I didn’t have to do it on my own. I made sure to watch the kids closely as they played around the arcade.
My eyes had to be on them at all times because I couldn’t risk losing them for even a second. Plus, Layla would kill me if any of them went missing.
