There was a brief silence.
Hana didn’t know what to say.
I had no idea what to tell Akira either.
Her eyes darted between me and Hana.
Before she could say anything else, the door swung open. All eyes turned to Kaiden who was strolling into the room with shopping bags in his hands.
I let out a relieved sigh when I saw that Akira had been distracted. She climbed out of bed and took the bag that Kaiden was handing over to her.
“Thank you.” She said as she returned to the bed. “Should I wake Lily up so she can eat?” She asked, searching my face for answers.
I shook my head. “No, just leave some for your sister. She’ll have it when she wakes up.”
It was a good thing Kaiden came when he did. I didn’t want to lie to Akira about who Lucas was anymore.
