As I drove back home, I couldn’t help but wonder why Kaiden was at my house without informing me first. The last time we spoke on the phone, he abruptly ended the call.
I wasn’t expecting to show up at my house.
Maybe he wanted to talk to me in person.
Just as I drove into the house, my phone buzzed with a text.
I pulled it out of my purse after I parked in the driveway. My heart skipped a beat when I saw a text from Lucas.
