Seven million dollars had passed through a company bearing Emilia's name, and now she admitted giving Charles information about Ethan. I wanted to know what she'd expected in return.
"What did he promise you?" I asked. "Was it money or something connected to your career?" I moved closer to the couch. "Tell us exactly what he said."
