I didn’t think before I made my next move.
“Wait!” I exclaimed, rushing in between Andrew and Lisa. “Andrew, you don’t really want to do this, do you?”
Andrew squared his shoulders and puffed out his chest.

“You want to ruin your relationship with Lisa over a hunch?” I knew that I would hate myself for this later, but I couldn’t let my issues with Bob come between father and daughter. “We don’t even have any evidence that he did it.”
I looked between Andrew and Lisa. I caught a glimpse of Jeffrey over by the door. His expression did not betray any of his emotions, but his tense body told me that he was not happy with my decision to take this tactic.
