The room wasn't a room at all. It was a big rectangular swimming pool with the cover drawn across.
There were tables, chairs, even sunbeds on the pool side area with what I thought were maybe sunlamps. There was a standing shower thing, and a couple of changing rooms in a small block at the far end next to what looked like a sauna or steam room.

Daddy found the control panel on the wall, and the cover drew slowly and smoothly back. He fiddled with the temperature panel and then looked out across the pool.
The water was crystal clear and perfectly still. I could smell chlorine faintly.
At the far end was a square area with steps up the side. It had to be a jacuzzi.
