The days were different on each letter. I imagined her waiting there on the previous nights and wondered how long she sat there before realizing I wasn't going to show. When I went to Tully's, I was greeted by a teary eyed Katie, and her two best friends; Laura and Olivia. To their credit they were very cordial.
Between the three they were able to explain the chain of events. Laura had arrived at Katie's apartment to find a frantic Katie searching high and low for her bathing suit. Upon learning that she had left her more modest suit in Houston after her last visit home, they just told her to wear the bikini. They didn't want to be late, and Kati reluctantly agreed.
They also relayed how sorry and sore Greg was, "You really did a number on him," Olivia said.
