"Oh." I felt like I'd been caught snooping around, which was silly since she'd invited me in. "It's nice, and it uh, smells amazing. Where do you sleep, though?"
Her lips curved up into a broad smile as she laughed. "On my bed, silly." Stretching her arms out, she fell backward onto it, sending pillows of all shapes and sizes tumbling off the sides. "It's super cozy and I love to cuddle with things. I don't hate you, by the way."
The abrupt shift in topic back to our earlier conversation caught me off guard, but I breathed a soft sigh of relief at her words.
