Mary Ann’s POV Work became easier once I stopped hoping. That was the lie I told myself every morning. I woke before sunrise, dressed before the servants began moving through the eastern wing, and entered the Luna office while the corridors were still quiet. The new locks opened smoothly beneath my hand. Two guards remained outside at all times now, and Kylian had arranged rotating patrols around the windows. No one entered without being seen.
