Mary Ann’s POV The pack house was locked down before the dead Nightveil warrior’s body became cold. Every gate was sealed. Every servant was ordered to remain in the wing where they had been found. Guards blocked the corridors between the council rooms, infirmary, kitchens, servant quarters, and family chambers. No one entered or left without written authorization from Modric, Kylian, or me.
