Camie picks Phoenis up and brings her over to me. “She wants to be close to Mia,” Camie says, looking just as confused as all of us. Our parents came running into the room on high alert. “What is going on here? We felt a strange energy,” Dad asks. “We will explain now,” I say as I take Phoenix and hold her next to Mia.
She lifts her tiny hand and touches Mia’s cheek. A few seconds later, Mia opens her eyes and looks at Phoenix. “Thank you, Phoenix,” Mia says in a groggy voice. “Okay fine, I will tell them.” Mia says and sighs before anyone can comment. “What’s going on baby?” Mom asks Mia. She looks at all of us with teary eyes, but doesn't speak.
“It’s okay sis, we are all here for you. Please stop shutting us out,” Matteo says as he sits down next to me and takes Mia’s hand.
