After Scarlett snapped at me, I decided not to say anything else.
I stood there for a while, staring at her closed bedroom door.
Had something gone wrong at work?
Or had Gary Hirsch upset her again?
My first instinct was to have someone investigate her recent movements and find out who she’d been spending time with.
Then I remembered how angry she’d get if she found out I was keeping tabs on her.
I hesitated.
A moment later, I did it anyway.
Charlotte’s efficiency had improved considerably over the past year.
It didn’t take long for the results to arrive.
At first glance, there was nothing unusual.
Then I spotted one line and stopped:
Ms. Ravencroft accompanied Ryan Parker to the hospital and took Jonathan Parker to a care facility.
