“Does this count as falling in love after getting divorced? Because honestly, I think it's kind of romantic!”
After hearing me recount everything that had happened, including how I was helping Jaxen fix his messed-up memories, Delaney couldn't help gushing.
When she clasped her hands against her cheeks, I poked her forehead.
“Why are you so emotional? You're sounding like Jaxen.”
Jaxen had heard me call him by his name a few times and immediately decided I must be developing feelings for him.
Delaney wasn't much better.
All it took was Jaxen acting crazy for her to decide I was about to fall head over heels for him.
“Of course, I'm emotional! I've always thought you two were in love with each other. You just never communicated properly, and that's why you broke up.”
