I had barely stepped through the front door when Jaxen appeared.
“Honey, what did you buy?”
He wrapped both arms around me before I could even kick off my shoes.
I grimaced and peeled his hands away.
“Are you physically incapable of giving me personal space? I need to change my shoes.”
He stepped back a few feet, surprisingly obedient.
